Job Description:
Soft Enterprise is looking for a proactive and creative WordPress Developer Intern to join our development team. This internship is ideal for individuals who want to build a strong foundation in WordPress website development, gain hands-on experience with real projects, and learn from experienced professionals. You’ll work on customizing themes, managing plugins, and developing new features for client and internal websites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites.
- Customize themes and plugins based on project needs.
- Support in creating and editing website layouts using page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
- Help troubleshoot and resolve website issues including bugs, compatibility, and performance problems.
- Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to enhance site functionality.
- Update and manage website content, images, and SEO tags.
- Collaborate with the design and content teams to ensure cohesive web experiences.
- Test websites for responsiveness, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Learn and implement best practices for WordPress security and performance.
- Assist in migrating websites, setting up hosting, and managing domain configurations.
Job Requirements:
- Basic understanding of WordPress CMS and how it works.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Passion for web development and eagerness to learn.
- Understanding of WordPress themes and plugin architecture.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with tools like Git, cPanel, or FTP is a plus.
- Prior hands-on experience (even personal or academic projects) in WordPress will be considered a bonus.
