Position Overview: 
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with at least one year of industry experience to join our Web Development team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and customizing WordPress websites, implementing on-page SEO best practices, and tailoring themes and plugins to meet specific client needs. Your expertise in front-end development, WordPress customization, and on-page SEO optimization will play a crucial role in delivering high-performance websites that enhance user engagement and drive search engine visibility. The following are the main responsibilities and expectations for this role. As a WordPress Developer, you’ll work to ensure that each project meets high standards of quality, functionality, and performance, directly contributing to our clients’ digital success.

Website Development and Customization

  • Develop custom WordPress websites using various page builders (e.g., Elementor Pro, Divi).
  • Convert Figma or Adobe XD designs into pixel-perfect WordPress layouts, ensuring responsive and optimized experiences on all devices.
  • Customize themes and plugins based on project requirements, including modifications to layout, functionality, and appearance.
  • Set up and configure WooCommerce for e-commerce websites, including payment gateways and product settings.
On-Page SEO Optimization
  • Implement on-page SEO practices, including setting up SEO-friendly URLs, meta tags, heading tags, and alt text for images.
  • Optimize website content and structure to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
  • Use SEO plugins (e.g., Yoast SEO, All in One SEO) to configure XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and ensure websites meet SEO standards.
Performance and Security Optimization
  • Optimize website speed by leveraging caching, image optimization, and code minimization to enhance loading times.
  • Set up and configure SSL certificates, monitor security plugins, and implement other best practices to protect websites from malware and cyber threats.
  • Perform regular website maintenance, including updates to themes, plugins, and WordPress core files.
Technical Setup and Troubleshooting
  • Configure domain hosting, DNS settings, and assist with domain migrations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website performance, functionality, and compatibility.
  • Conduct testing to identify and fix bugs, ensuring a smooth user experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in WordPress development, with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in using popular page builders like Elementor Pro, Divi, and WPBakery.
  • Experience with theme customization, plugin configuration, and WooCommerce setup.
  • Familiarity with on-page SEO techniques and experience using SEO plugins such as Yoast SEO or All in One SEO.
  • Knowledge of website performance optimization practices and security protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and effective communication.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
