Job Description:
Soft Enterprise is seeking a highly capable and experienced Full Stack WordPress Developer to join our dynamic development team. This role involves developing complete WordPress-based solutions, including both front-end interfaces and back-end functionalities. The ideal candidate is confident in building custom themes and plugins, integrating APIs, optimizing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, user-friendly websites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
- Build responsive and user-centric front-end experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks if needed.
- Handle back-end development tasks using PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core functions.
- Integrate and manage third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external systems (e.g., CRMs, ERPs).
- Optimize website performance, loading speed, and SEO best practices.
- Perform routine security updates, server maintenance, and site migrations.
- Develop custom post types, taxonomies, and reusable Gutenberg blocks or ACF modules.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production and staging environments.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, content teams, and other developers to ensure project success.
- Maintain version control using Git and participate in code reviews.
Job Requirements:
- 2–4 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL.
- Experience with WordPress core architecture, plugin API, and theme hierarchy.
- Ability to build and consume REST APIs.
- Familiarity with page builders (Gutenberg, Elementor, WPBakery) and custom development practices.
- Proficient with development tools like Git, npm, Composer, and cPanel/server environments.
- Understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
- Solid experience with WooCommerce and related customizations is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
